Hello,

After installing MagicCam I have experienced issues with my camera and audio. The camera frequently disconnects, switches off, and the audio in Teams suddenly switches MagicCam audio which makes people can't hear me.

I have uninstalled the software but I see that there is some remnant pending to remove from my laptop. MagicCam still appears in my Windows and Teams audio and video settings.

How can I remove the remnants? How can I do a clean and complete uninstallation?

Find attached a screenshot after the uninstallation.

Thank you very much.

I have the very same problem. The apparent solution is through Device Manager > Audio Inputs and Outputs.
Then identify the ghost device with 'PlainConcepts MagicCam' in the name, right click and uninstall device.

Bad news is that this only solves the problem until next reboot. I find it quite annoying that my co-workers hear my voice with the robot effect every time I call via Teams just because I happened to test the software once.

Please we need a fix for this.

Hi, thanks you to report this issue.

While we update the installer for properly uninstall the Magic Cam audio device, you can do it manually:

Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers > PlainConcepts MagicCam

@Bukran you must uninstall the sound device as described before, if you only uninstall de audio input or output, them will be reinstalled by the audio device.

Just another tip, in case it helps finding the problem.

I've successfully uninstalled the sound controller as stated above but, on every PC restart, the robotic voice appears again on the first MS Teams videconference of the day.
Then I restart MS Teams, go to Configuration, make a test call and apparently everything works as expected.

This happens every day, resulting in a quite annoying experience.

Still suffering the robotic voice and no PlainConcepts device can be found at Device Manager.

Also problem here. After uninstalling the speaker and mic. The next restart - they appear again.
How to get rid of this without reinstalling the notebook?

En efecto, aunque se desinstale el micro y la cámara, cuando se reinicia vuelven a aparecer. He optado por deshabilitar los dispositivos, aunque lo ideal es una solución definitiva.
¡Gracias!

Just a quick note to let you know my PC is still randomly under the influence of Magic Cam although it was uninstalled years ago
