So, I just got home and checked my wallet. Last updated 2 second ago. Then I notice that my wifi is off and it's not plugged in to ethernet.

Can the QT wallet reference the internal computer clock to indicate that it's actually out of date?
Could it alert the user there's no internet connection?

I think I see what you mean. After an immediate Internet disconnect in the Qt wallet the bottom right syncing icon does not change to the 'disconnected' icon state.
