Guidelines For Localization

Please refer to the documentation Addition to the documentation, from point 6 on Notes for backend localisers follow the bellow points,

Point 6's continuation,

NOTE: If you are making changes to the existing translation do command in point
number 3,make your changes and then point number 6 then only you will see the
changes in the site.
  1. To trigger language change in the site go to file base.py at location pari/pari/settings/ and change ENABLE_SITE_LOCALIZATION to True and add your language code in LANGUAGE_CODE.
  2. Now on the entire site you will get the url having your LANGUAGE_CODE in it. (Only for the homepage, language will be 'en' but you will be able to see your translation so don't worry). You can also play by changing the language code in the url to get the translations for the language.
  3. For committing into git its better to commit both the .po as well as .mo file so that if anyone wants to edit, it would come in handy. There is already a 'fr' folder inside the locale directory for reference.
