in testing it was found that dhclient needs to be run on a LiveCD to get an IP. This doesn't occur on a regular ISO.

I believe this has to do with no network script existing in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts. One solution is to write a startup script to call dhclient after booting.

A work-around is to start dhclient
