"mid" scew to wide #1
Comments
This ended up working for me. Diameter of 58.55 mm. Printed it at 0.06 mm layer height using a 0.4 mm nozzle, sliced in Cura for the ultimaker s2+, using black PLA PRO from REAL filament. |
So i printing the mit.stl from your ZIP-file at thisd moment. I don't think that the layer height is a problem to me, because it was printed in resin and is almost perfect in spect. I've noticed, that the original "mid" is exactly 59mm in diameter, perhabs this caused the problem. It has been updated a view days ago. I compared the old, the new and yous in CAD. Only yours is about 58,55mm. |
Shrinkage with resin is very different with resin. My version might not
work for you. Layer height isn't a problem with resin like you said.

That one did thread for me, but not properly. With a tiny but of force it
could just be lifted out. It also couldn't be tightened enough to really
lock the lens it place, so it wobbled a bit sometimes.
I ended up just buying a normal guide scope and camera. I didn't want to
mess around with this thing anymore.

Not only the mid-ring, but the dew shield is also too loose for me. In the
CAD they are 0.8mm apart! Modern printers typically have a tolerance of
0.2mm, mine printed these threads at the designed diameter with a shrinkage
of 99.3%. They still have a distance of 0.8mm and bearly touch each other.
I think most printers will have the same issue.
Please update the CAD with a tighter tolerance.

the printed middle screw don't grab on the threads. Even in CAD the screw ist floating.
I printed the mid.part with -0.5mm in x and y to fit over the threads, but that didn't work either.
At the moment the oversized nut ist used and its focused over the holders.
