Instead of relying on a single keypair for S3 access via env vars, we should use AWS_PROFILE:
https://gdal.org/en/latest/user/virtual_file_systems.html#config-AWS_PROFILE

This would allow:

  • supporting multiple S3 endpoints
  • dynamic configuration

We will need a config that maps bucket names or regexes to profile names.

First step is to support geotiff, which is not read by gdal, so allows to more easily use profiles.
