" Only in post-processing the nitrate concentrations can be recalculated using the known salinities leading to better precision measurements" this is also true for the SeaExplorer at this time.

I am not sure a standard procedure exists at the DAC level for Nitrates concentrations. However it can be usefull to mention the work conducted by the SOCCOM team (https://soccom.princeton.edu/sites/default/files/files/CWG_white_paper_March_13_2016.pdf ) that propose several methods for RT drift/offset corrections based on :

  • knowledge of climatologies (e.g. GLODAP / WOA)
  • stoichiometries between	parameters

  • MLR algorithms

  • zero	concentration	in the mixed layer in subtropical regions

  • Neural network approaches
