Is it possible to override/control certain aspect of project compatibility check?

During restore Nuget runs compatibility checks -- if it encounters a C++/CLI project in flattened dependency graph, it fails with smth like this:

NU1201: Project <project> is not compatible with net462 (.NETFramework,Version=v4.6.2) / win-x64. Project <project> supports: native (native,Version=v0.0)

As I understand this branch decides which framework given project targets.

Is it possible to override this process in some way from project file? For example:

• get NuGet to treat this project as if it uses net462
• get NuGet to treat this project as external (so that this branch is taken)
• stop transitivity -- i.e. if check reaches certain project, it doesn't check that project's dependencies
