We currently have

  • 3V3 1
    ** RTC
    ** SD card
    ** I2C pull-ups
  • 3V3 2
    ** Analog sensor power
** Any other external sensor, etc. power

Do we really need this? Note:

  • Will be on at around the same time
  • Sensors can use the external power, but (if I2C) be pulled up to 3V3 from the internal power.

Note also:

  • This might not be a problem having 2 in the same chip (like what Chad has found) -- certainly within I2C tolerance even if both sides don't use the same 3V3 regulator (I'm guessing they tap into the same one)
  • We already have a reel of these chips...

Tentative conclusion:

  • Keep separate, do nothing; hold the status quo because no real gains or losses.
