[This Github issue is for announcements to attendees (import messages are also sent by email, but this provides an archive and extra updates can be sent here)]
Welcome to the NordicHPC meeting in Helsinki in 2019.nov.14-15. If you are getting this message you are confirmed for attendance (everyone is confirmed). We have a little bit more space still. There will be a separate re-confirmation of attendance in the near future.
This is an attendee-driver workshop, so we need everyone will contribute to the program! There are several ways to do this. First off, hope every site will give slides which show "three cool things and three problems" you have - this serves as a starting point for collaboration. Second, offer suggestions for lightning talks. After the lightning talks, we'll discuss which we want to see a full talk/discussion on (either for everyone or as a breakout session). Of course, we welcome any other suggestions for program events. Please see this scratchpad to contribute: https://hackmd.io/uCFgSqABSBKP1PGKLxjLKQ?both
Attendee announcements will be posted here: #36
Schedule discussion will go here: #28
Looking forward to see you all here! If you have any questions, please let me know (or post in the github issues above).

Please read the following for things to do before attending:
Please reconfirm your attendance (link sent in email) so that we are assumed to not be coming unless you reply. We still have a little bit of space.
There will be some food provided for lunch. If you have dietary restrictions, please note in the form.
As I said before, this is an attendee-driven workshop. You help is needed in the following ways:
Add three cool things your site does and three problems you face to this slide set (google slides, you can do it online). This will provide a basis for discussion.
Please prepare lightning or regular talks. Good topics include tools you've made, special use cases, novel services, or even summaries of other talks you've seen recently. Every lightning talk will get the whole audience. Regular talks will be divided between the whole group and breakout sessions depending on interest. Extensive preparation is not needed (live demos fine!), and shorter is better so that there is more time for discussion. You can directly add your offers to the hackmd.io pad, or we also organize once you are here.
Thanks for your attention, and see you here next week,
