In an attempt to add the little frills around the desktop UI which make it more usable:

  • Decoration
    • Background image
  • Informational
    • Battery level
    • Volume level
    • Internet status
    • VPN indicator
    • Back light level
    • i3 workspace number
    • Date and time
    • Storage remaining
    • Running applications
  • Reactions
    • On back light level adjust: show new level & indicator icon
    • On volume level adjust: show new level & indicator icon
    • On low battery: show warning
    • App launcher with icons
