Which one would you recommend instead?

Newer ones are not fully supported by rAthena.
Next to that the item linking might be still bugged on newer versions?!
And older ones do not offer the new features everyone is looking for with 20151104

I know that it's an official bug.
That doesn't mean that it's impossible to be fixed.

But thanks for the tip on the 2016 client, will take a look at it.

And it seems like NEMO won't come back in anytime soon.
He's been inactive since a very long time already.
