Hi Team!

This sar-wiki repository was created during a co-working session and it's intended to be a place where we can document steps we've taken, decisions made, detailed steps for onboarding new team members (e.g. how to RStudio/GitHub, where files are located, etc) and other helpful steps to share to navigate the new stock assessment report process.

This repository is "public" to enable the Wiki capability.

For this issue suggest ideas below for what should be included and we can discuss as a group, then contribute to each section.

Suggested topics to include

  • Workflow overview and file locations
  • Steps to get RStudio, GitHub, and how to install and use

More topics:

  • How to convert MS Word docx files to Markdown (via GitHub Actions)
  • How to manage references/citations (maybe Zotero? maybe EndNote? ... TBD)

Guidelines for making tables in markdown, Rmarkdown.
Workflows for inline R code / calculations. Has been some talk in OpenScapes on this and I think we would
want to start setting up our foundation guidelines for work flows, storage structures etc. Basically creating our system.
