The following URL schemes are currently supported:

http e.g. http://example.com
https e.g. https://example.com
data e.g. data:text/html,<h1>Hello World</h1>

The following URL schemes are not supported:

file e.g. /home/www/index.html
This is due to security restrictions imposed by Mozilla. For more information on WebExtension filesystem access see https://wiki.mozilla.org/WebExtensions/Filesystem.

doc says file:/// should work, but it's empty for me:
