Compiling the different issues seen on various styles with the highlighted element style. We need to figure if these can be fixed and the possible workarounds.

  1. Minor: Distracting outline:
    http://staff.tumblr.com/
    distracting outline

  2. Major: The background color shows over the link text/image, thus completely hiding it.
