Playing around with your control, I ran into a few issues.

The task background color is not the color I put in the optionset value, but rather a highly muted version of it. It seems the code is applying a filter to it. Is there a way to have it display in the full color? It looks washed out.

I am also not seeing how to activate the Show Task list option.
