Wallet hangs - will not load data from block-chain

When trying to load a new wallet, it never finishes fetching the latest data from the block-chain.

The wallet should load fully by fetching the data it needs from the block-chain.

The wallet never fully loads, and is therefore unuseable. This is a huge issue, especially if you have sent funds to it.

1. create new wallet
2. Launch the wallet
3. Wait days for no result
