You can work around the issue by adding this to your hosts file (on Linux it's /etc/hosts):

0.0.0.0 authserver.mojang.com
0.0.0.0 api.mojang.com
0.0.0.0 sessionserver.mojang.com
0.0.0.0 api.minecraftservices.com
