# KNOX Semantic Search Engine
## Overview
This project contains both the front end and back end of the Semantic Search Engine, the work of group F of the KNOX project at the fall semester at AAU, 2023.
this Readme file will help you understand the front-end part, which is also the frontend for the chatbot (group G's work)
## Technologies Used
- React
- TypeScript
- Tailwind CSS
## Getting Started
*****IMPORTANT - Before running:
make sure to update node modules after download, as they are in the git-ignore - npm install
also run this: npx tailwindcss -i ./src/input.css -o ./dist/output.css --watch
after that, you can start a localhost instance of the frontend with the command: npm start (give it a minute, can take a while to start up)
You can then edit the code while the server is running, and see the effects on the server instance as soon as you save the edited document.
### Prerequisites
- Node.js
- npm
## Installation
1. Clone the repository:
```bash
git clone https://github.com/your-username/your-project.git
## Structure
All the documents pertaining to the front-end are found within the "src" folder. "Mainscreen.tsx" is the file building the screen first presented to the user when they enter the site.
