Would be interesting to have this - basically automatically merging video every hour but continuing to capture.

Agree, would use this feature too. Alternatively the option to put in a start time from when the stream is supposed to be captured.

For example I would like to limit download size to 2GB and write a script that will automatically upload it to telegram channel
