issues with espeak

ive gotten myself into a MASSIVE rabbithole, i didnt have espeak installed before but after the terminal told me to go get it i went to do that and when i got it, the python script wouldnt recognize it, i looked through the issues section here and saw you put a link that redirects to a differnt espeak, i got it but it seems that i need to build/compile whatever the heck its called and im really slow and stupid and here i am stuck, should i just start over? and what espeak do i use cuz i am LOST LOST and i need glados to demorilize me every now and then, who wouldnt want that?
