(container based) as a reader of the docs: after I clone this repo, I can follow the quickstart and view the running application

Describe alternatives you've considered

Additional context
e.g. Verify steps are correct by cloning repo to /tmp and copy/pasting the quickstart guide. By the end, the application must be visible in the web browser.
