Description

Hide Empty Filters is a quality-of-life mod for Kerbal Space Program (KSP) that cleans up the part catalog in the VAB/SPH by automatically hiding empty categories and subcategories. Whether you're using stock parts or playing with mods, this tool ensures you only see what you need.

Features:

  • Automatically hides categories and subcategories with no available parts.
  • Supports both stock and modded categories (e.g., Filter Extensions, Community Category Kit).
  • Fully respects research progress in Career and Science modes.
  • Lightweight and compatible with large modded installations.

How It Works:

This mod scans all categories and subcategories in the part catalog and dynamically hides those with no visible or unlocked parts. It aims to work seamlessly with mods that add or modify parts and categories.

Compatibility:

  • Tested with KSP 1.12.5.
  • Compatible with:
    1. Filter Extensions
    2. Community Category Kit
    3. Several part mods (needs more testing)

Installation:

  1. Download the mod from SpaceDock or GitHub.
  2. Extract the HideEmptyFilters folder into your Kerbal Space Program/GameData/ directory.
  3. Launch the game and enjoy a cleaner part catalog!
