That is the error I get when try to sendpayment with 4 counter parties even for 0.5 BTC. Initially I thought the project is no longer alive but on the site where you can monitor the counter parties I see plenty and with huge amounts of BTC.

Please note that I'm with version 0.9.9 since I'm with pre 3. version of Python and can't upgrade it because the linux distro I use for that has reached end of life for support and updates. If it is because of the version I'll look for ways to upgrade but if 0.9.9 does indeed still work and there is simple fix I would like to try that since I need it just for 1 transaction to test stuff.

3 weeks without a response, is the project and the liquidity dead?

Can you give more info about your system and the exact version of Python you are using?
If you can, the complete log would also be helpful, scrubbed for privacy if needed.

Can't be, or you are using really really old version on JoinMarket. Python 2 support was dropped years ago.

I'm indeed with Python 3.7 but JM requires at least 3.8
However when I try to upgrade it it says python is already the latest version
so seems my distro is old and this is the max it gets, should I try to side-load 3.8 somehow?

I updated Python to 3.8 and JM to the latest version but still get the same error about no liquidity even when trying to send 0.05 BTC with 4 counter parties

before quitting it throws some DEBUG messages about "J5AXXXXXXXXX has dusty minsize, capping at 27300"

it ends with
Takes not continuing after receipt of orderbook
Did not complete successfully, shutting down.
