It would be nice to have type safety for the keys instead of just accepting string | string[]
string | string[]
Accepting string literals instead of generic strings, for example:
type KeyboardKey = "a" | "b" | "c" | "d" | "e" // etc. type Key = KeyboardKey | `shift+${KeyboardKey}` | `ctrl+${KeyboardKey}` // etc. const myKey: Key = "ctrl+c" // OK const invalidKey: Key = "some+random+key+a" // TypeScript error
