Failed to load from usb:/wii64/roms

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Boot Wii64
2. Attempt to load rom from usb
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: loading the rom and being able to play a rom
Instead: Receiving message as follows 
"Failed to load from usb:/wii64/roms"
What version of the product are you using? On which system and loader?
Wii64 B1.1 "Honey",  4.3U, HBC 1.1.0 (using IOS58) 

Please provide any additional information below.
Hierarchy is standard, am booting Wii64 off my Sandisk Cruzer 8gb usb disk, no 
config exportation avail.
