To improve the accuracy, the dose calculation must be able to use electron density maps for radiological depth scaling.
First thoughts is to implement some sort of ray tracing and integration. Could use VoxelRayTracers.jl for a CPU implementation.
Otherwise, if GPU is implemented (#44), may be worth looking at GPU ray tracing methods.
