multible rotations with rotateBoard

The code required to allow multiple board rotations in the rotateBoard() function, some reason i can not figure out, prevents the entire function from working

the method has been left as is with the exception of the one troublesome line (which has been commented out)

The expectation is that we will not use the function to do more than one rotation until this issue has been corrected
