Console Doesn't Show (ever)

Running GoClipse latest release.
Running Eclipse Neon latest release via Eclipse Installer (Platform runtime only)
Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS

Running opens console view in a tab that's not selected. Upon trying to select, the tab disappears. I need to do window -> reset perspective to get it to show again. I don't believe the application is running at all.

This error doesn't occur on a fresh Eclipse install without GoClipse installed, running a Java project.

When installed onto an Eclipse Neon Web Developer bundle, this doesn't occur.

Can you provide a screenshot of that, just before it disappears?
