It would be great if content tools 2 support columns, ideally compatible with any framework (bootstrap, zurb, etc....)

With regard to column support, I use ContentTools with ContentFlow with both text columns (CT) and grid layouts (CF) currently. With regard to frameworks I think at the very minimum we should have some tutorials created to show how to integrate CT with specific framworks. I imagine this would be a lot simpler moving forward as CF will be part of CT2 from the outset.
