It would be great if the UI for layout and blocks can live in a parent frame. That way the page can be displayed within an iframe, which makes it easy to add a "responsive view" switcher, so you can shrink / expand the page you're editing to desktop/tablet/phone viewport size. Of course the user interface that sticks to the right browser side in v1 has to be outside of that iframe in such a case and "communicate" with the editor instance that actually changes the content and offers the text editor part within the page.
