The Users and Roles Management interface can only be accessed by an administrators. This allows to define kinds of roles for registered users and configure role for non-registered users of the Workbench. The administrator can define the components that can accessed and executed by users with given role.
There are two mandatory roles:
- A Default role can also be defined, which is the role that will be given to new users.
- A Not logged in user option defines what role a user that has no user account will be assigned.
Administrators can create new roles. By default the new role has no access rights for any components. The access rights can be set by placing ticks next to the relevant component in the columns for each user type.
Users can register into the workbench by providing a username and an email. Their credentials will be sent by the configured email during the set-up.
