Describe the bug
On the web UI when you enable the snap to grid option and try to align objects like nodes or rectangles, it does not behave as expected, which makes it hard to align objects. It seems that it is not using the center point for alignment. If you just click on the object it also moves down a bit every time you click it. This was tested on a freshly installed GNS3 VM.

GNS3 version and operating system (please complete the following information):

  • OS: [Linux]
  • GNS3 version [3.0.1]

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create a new blank project
  2. Click on the icon in the top left --> map settings --> snap to grid
  3. Create 2 rectangles and try to align them
  4. See error

This issue has been reported some years ago. It does affect also the 2.2.x web-ui version also,
Please have look at this opened issue GNS3/gns3-web-ui#1292

P.S GNS3 web-ui related issues should be opened separately here https://github.com/GNS3/gns3-web-ui/issues
Here only issues related to the GNS3 desktop GUI should be reported.

You can close this one as it is a duplicate issue.
