Currently, combining envo.owl and foodon.owl yields inconsistency. This is not surprising because the OBO pattern of merging imports is fundamentally rigid/broken (it results in version superpositions).
I can't quite understand what the parameters involved in the implementation section of above document are supposed to look like so our strategy will be to implement the latest ODK shortly so that FoodOn has a base file conforming to that.

It looks like foodon does not have a base file yet. There is one checked in at the top level but it's not a base file as it includes ENVO
