An exit code of 255 means that the Zero-EPWING utility crashed when trying to parse the EPWING data. Are you sure that the copy of Daijisen that you are using is intact and does not have any issues? Also probably not the problem, but figured I would ask -- are you running on a system that has plenty of memory available? I don't know what the usage would be for Daijisen, but I've seen memory usage spike to over 1GB on some larger dictionaries.

When I try and import my daijisen file zero-epwing.exe stops responding and I get
conversion process failed: exit status 255
I managed to get Daijirin working properly though w/ the same steps.
