Increase the icon size in notes

I'd like to increase the size of an icon symbol using inline style (<span style="font-size: 64px;">:LiWifi:</span>). This doesn't render the WiFi symbol but instead displays the symbol's name in larger size like shown below.

Only for testing I tried with an emoji where the result is rendered as intended. Funnily enough reading view has other effects.

Is this something I can handle myself by more inline styling options or other configuration options?
