Better example for twitter or newsticker

I think the twitter module is a nice showcase, it's a shame it doesn't show anything at startup.
We could add some default data in the configfile, but that is ugly.

I'd like to propose a new module, which uses an external source (RSS?) to fill a ticker module similar to the twitter. See it as a news scroller, stocks, weather, maybe even the round results, but showed as a scroller.
Maybe the latest news from this github is a good candidate for a source

Was thinking about generalising the twitter module, so that you can add via websocket, rss, or manually.

That is a good idea. The config should have multiple exampels of that module just to show how versatile it is.
