To add to this request, I think being able to use somekind of gamemode ID or shortname to link a map or addon to a gamemode would be interesting. As there is the possibility of multiple games doing the same gamemode (as example there's already multiple TTT gamemodes available) and with that they can require different setups for maps, so having a way to directly link addons/maps to a gamemode would be useful for those conflicting cases. Additionally, being able to set pre-applied tags in the map search for gamemodes would help with filtering all the available maps. But then still giving the user the option to disable that applied tag or applying other tags if they really want to with the search settings. |

For example, you should be able to add the required stuff for deathmatch item spawns to a map, then tag it as "deathmatch". If you also added the right stuff for Instagib to work at the same time, you could tag it as "deathmatch, instagib".
Gamemodes can then set what tags they support, for example deathmatch can set their supported tag as "deathmatch", and the map picker only shows maps that support deathmatch. If anyone forks deathmatch and their fork still supports the same maps, they could also tag it as "deathmatch", so the same maps would show up.
This way you can easily only show maps that support your gamemode, and maps could support multiple gamemodes at the same time.
Maps should also be able to select whether they show up under non-tagged gamemodes, for example if you have a map that is completely useless in Sandbox, like a map for a TNT Run gamemode (where the platforms won't spawn nor disappear in any other gamemode, and it would just be a massive empty arena).
Maybe you should also be able to pick whether the tags are required or only recommended, in which case tagged maps would show up in a recommended section in the map picker, with all other maps below it, for something like Prop Hunt which works with most maps but has maps with a lot of props that are more fun to play on.
The set gamemode tags would be public and show up somewhere ingame so mappers know what tags to use.
Simple concept for gamemode settings
