I am getting a few bug reports about "missing entities" on new EP1 firmwares. I personally have an EP1 with ESPHome version 2023.10.6 and Project version 1.1.7 that is working fine. But users report issues (here: RobinBol/io.everythingsmart#9) with at least the following firmware versions:
ESPHome version 2024.5.2
Project version 1.2.3
ESPHome version 2024.6.1
Project version 1.2.3
Were there any breaking changes introduced between 1.1.7 and 1.2.3 that I should be aware of? Please let me know about the relevant changes so I can update my integration and fix it.

There is no breaking changes on this side, however it's because we started shipping a newer sensor (SEN0609) with the EP1, which contains a few new additional entities.
The 2 main ones are that there is now 2 distance settings, one for max distance (same as before), and a "range reduced" which allows setting a lower distance for triggering the sensor.
There is also 2 controls for sensitivity now too, the same sensitivity as before, but also a trigger sensitivity setting now too, for allowing more granular control on what triggers the sensor
Hi Lewis,
Would mind contacting Robin (the guy that made the homey app for your EP1), he says that he look at the app and can not find a problem, but it clearly has a problem. When I and others try to make any changes it will not save it gust changes Back to the original settings.
would you please reach out to him and see if the both of you or you alone can get a fix for this app not working as it should.
