I am currently playing on 1.0.2 on my custom modpack and wow its way too easy to snipe them with a bow or spells and get a free primordial pearl. I think the pearl drop should be taken off and reserved for the giant tentacle that might be added in the future thaumic augmentations update. To make it better I think it should drop like 2-3 Twisted curiosities along with the other stuff to make it into a viable way to farm those relics. Also the spawning is way too frequent. Maybe they should be manually spawned by throwing Bottled Taint onto a regular taintacle? |
These are great suggestions! I'll definitely reduce its drops especially the pearl before the release of 1.1.0, which hopefully will be released tonight or tomorrow. :) I'll look into doing an interaction with Bottled Taint in the future too. |
#3 -Pearl is now only a 1/5 chance to drop. -Added essentia phials as a new drop. -Increased amount of curiosities dropped. -Loot bags, pearls, and curiosities require a player kill to prevent auto farming. Removed player kill requirement from void seeds.
This should be improved in 1.1.0 but I'm still keeping it open to keep track of more improvements to do. |
Currently even with a very low spawn weight, they can spawn frequently in some instances. It would be best to add their own custom spawning conditions or if not, nerf their drops considerably.
