Not much info shows up on small screens w/o scrolling

Could we somehow condense the stuff at the top (project and site signup) so that more info shows up on tiny screens like Macbook Airs (see screenshot below)? There's a lot of empty space up there, and nothing about what Ecohack is. Or should we just count on people scrolling?

Just a thought.
