How can I check effect of certain enchantment?

You can check effect of certain enchantment by 2 ways!

  1. Use Enchantment Description Mod. And you can see effect of certain enchantment when holding certain enchanted book!
  2. Find it in THIS PAGE of Wiki

Is it possible to disable certain enchantment?

No. But you can prevent certain enchantment from being obtained by survival player. Just adjust mod configuration. Once you set "Acquirable Setting" of certain enchantment to "false", it will no longer spawn from loot, fishing, trading and enchantment table, but it's still fully functional.
