Does not detect Pro Controller #358
Comments
Basically, following this https://github.com/Davidobot/BetterJoy/wiki/HIDGuardian-and-Steam-(Big-Picture) EDIT: see #339 |
whenever i try opening the HIDGuardian localhost link, i see no devices listed under "currently affected". I tried following the link to github post you listed, but still cannot get BJFC to detect my controller |
Do you have |
no, i set it to true |
Well, set it to false if there are no affected devices. |
i set it to false, and restarted BJFC, but it still fails to detect. When i press buttons on my controller, the light indicator is moving, indicating its trying to search for a connection (rather than being solid/stable). |
Try v6.1? |
i tried 6.1, same issue. (I didnt uninstall the drivers from 6.2, then reinstall for 6.1. Is that needed? i simply downwloaded 6.1 and ran the .exe) Should my controller be detected automatically by the app? or do i need to do something in the app/on my controller (aside from being paired to my pc). |
No.
Yes. Could you give me the output of the console? |
all i see in the console is:
|
No clue then, sorry. Try to follow this: https://forums.vigem.org/topic/451/taming-hidguardian-gen1 If you do everything correctly, and it still doesn't show up, it's not the program's fault. |
originally this didnt work last night, but this morning i somehow managed to get the controller to connect! (I noticed in windows 10, my controller is now listed under "Mouse, Keyboard and Pen" instead of "Other devices", that may be an indicator) However, I have a new issue now. I cant get Citra to recognize the controller so that I can bind my keys correctly. I am launching citra through Steam, since I can now get steam to recognize my controller. However, my controller constantly has the blinking green lights, and never stabilizes) |
I have the same issue, I installed the vigembus driver then used dolphin. After using dolphin i decided to use hidguardian as an experiment, Nothing worked after i installed hidguardian now each time i try to connect my pro controller it blinks then after a second it just stops (That is after trying to connect it via bt). I uninstalled every driver and removed every "Currently affected device" from the hidguardian configuration |
Just repair it in the Windows BT settings? |
I fixed the issue, Apparently i was messing with when to install the drivers (I installed vigembus later, And hidguardian earlier) So removing them in the correct order fixed it for me |
Ive been trying all day to get Steam to recognize my (official) switch pro controller. I have gotten it to work a while ago with Citra (through Steam's controller support).
However, now not only does steam not recognize my controller, but BJFC also doesnt recognize it at all.
I am connecting over bluetooth, and windows 10 seems to recognize it (it says paired, and shows up under device manager under blutetooth).
When I had it working a while ago, the only difference was that I was using a motherboard that didnt have bluetooth, so I borrowed a friend's cable to connect directly without bluetooth.
Any idea how I can troubleshoot this? I also tried installing the latest version of BJFC and installed the drivers.
