Dropbox channel ? #52
Comments
@davinerd - I can't speak for @DakotaNelson , but I think Dropbox could be quite a useful channel especially because large upload sizes and varied datatypes are par for the course with Dropbox. The channel and encoder API should be pretty straightforward indeed and if you would like to work on this, we'd be happy to add it in. @DakotaNelson , anything to add? |
+1000 this would be amazing. Someone also mentioned Box as the more corporate-y equivalent, so either/or (or both, whatever). If you'd like to take this one one, @davinerd, feel free to assign yourself, otherwise we can just leave this here and someone will get around to implementing it eventually. |
I don't think I can assign it to myself, I guess you have to do that. I'll start working in the next few days. |
Ah, huh, weird, you're right. Cool, great to hear! Thanks for all the contributions, we really do appreciate it. 😃 |
With a biblical delay: https://github.com/davinerd/sneaky-creeper/tree/dropbox_channel |
I'm just waiting for the PR #84 to be merged so I can open a PR for this channel that's fully working (but with extended attributes) |
How much do you think it will be useful ?
I can help writing a channel that uses Dropbox. Didn't explore the full API, but after a quick look at the SDK it seems to be pretty easy.
If you are ok, I can do it.
