Given #303 and #304 -- it would be cool to also support streamcat attributes. @mhweber -- just recording this for later follow up. I'd be thrilled to build this all out in one place if we could.

@mhweber you talked about maybe getting streamCatTools on CRAN at some point? I could try to sneak it in as an optional dependency, but I'm not sure if that would fly with CRAN checks. Are you still thinking about getting it up there?

@dblodgett-usgs - yes! on my summer to-do list! I am hoping to submit to CRAN ideally end of August or if not end of September - let me know if that time frame works for you and I can make sure to follow up on this issue or let you know when submitted and accepted
