I have the 4.2.3 board (thankfully) and the original firmware installed has version 2.0.6.1.

This repository main branch is version 2.0.6.0. Can you please provide the source for 2.0.6.1?

Thanks!

If you would like a version of firmware that is far superior to v2.0.6.1, try this version for the v4.2.3 motherboard for the
Ender 2 Pro. You can get it here: https://github.com/The-300lb-Gorilla/Ender-2-Pro-v423
Specific Firmware Functionality:

  1. Cleaner Main Information Screen.
  2. Single Language Menu System.
  3. Cleaner and more detailed Menu System.
  4. Cleaner and better labeled Menu System.
  5. No automatic timeout and return to main information screen. (Real agravating when you turn away for a second, and it is back on the Main Information Screen, and you have to start again.)
  6. You must manually scroll and click to return to previous menus and to the Main Information Screen.
  7. LCD Assisted Manual 4 Corner Bed Leveling. (Paper method at 4 corners over bed screws, leveling by raising and lowering with bed adjustment wheels)
  8. (9)Nine Point LCD Assisted Manual Mesh Bed Leveling. (No need for ABL Probe) Paper method, raising and lower the nozzle with the LCD knob at (9) nine points around the bed to create a mesh, just like an ABL Probe, but none of the waiting, wiring, setup, firmware recompiling, and in my opinion, a simpler way to level the bed.
  9. Long File Names Enabled.
10 Scrolling of Longer File Names Enabled.
  10. Removal of ABS Preheat, since the Ender 2 Pro cannot print ABS.
  11. Single PLA Preheat. Temps are as follows: Hot-End 205c Bed Temp 65c.
  12. Thermal Runaway Protection Enabled.
  13. No ABL Probe Function is available, and there will not be at this time.
  14. Power Loss Recovery (You can turn off or on in the settings menu)
  15. Filament Runout Sensor (If you do not have one, you can turn it off in settings menu)

@The-300lb-Gorilla This is based on which Marlin version?

Marlin 2.0.x (Bug Fix Edition)
Trust me when I tell you, this is a superior firmware package than what Creality has put out.
I put a lot of time and work into this project. You do not even have to use the v4.2.3 motherboard. There is firmware for the Ender 2 Pro using a v4.2.7 motherboard in my repository, and detailed instructions on how to do it. Don't waste your time with OEM firmware 2.0.6.0 or the 2.0.6.1, it is a lost cause. That is why I developed the firmware I did. I also developed a version for a person who wanted to use a BTT SKR Mini E3v3 motherboard. There are a lot of features built into each version. Or if you want, I can build a version for you using Marlin 2.0.6.1. I have built over 200 custom packages for the Ender 2 Pro for people all over the world, using Marlin 2.0.x (Bug Fix Edition), and I have made them for the 3 motherboards I have mentioned, I even have a Ender 2 Pro of my own running a BTT SKR Mini E3v2 with a TFT35 E3v3 Touch Screen Interface. And no, I do not have one with a CR-Touch or a BL Touch. Personally, with a print bed that is 165x165mm, a ABL probe is a waste of money.

I have 3 Ender 2 Pros. Each one is running a different motherboard.
1 - Ender 2 Pro running Gorilla Tech v4.2.3 for the v4.2.3 motherboard
1 - Ender 2 Pro running Gorilla Tech v4.2.7 for the v4.2.7 motherboard
1 - Ender 2 Pro running Gorilla Tech Firmware for the BTT SKR Mini E3v2 & TFT35 E3v3 Touch Screen
