Would love this if this app gave to option to run a 'datawiper' as a service that runs on startup and automatically checks whether photos/videos in a specific folder (f.ex. /DCIM/Camera) have metadata whereafter it immediately wipes and overwrites each file upon finding it.

2 other nitpicks/bugs:

  • 'Remove metadata and save to' sadly doesnt overwrite the foto to the same folder that you've selected it from. I've noticed that reopening photos that have had supposedly metadata removed still contain metadata and that there's a new folder 'Metadata Remover' with those photos that have been wiped.
  • Right now you have to select each and every photo and then select 'Remove metadata and save to' for each individual foto. I'd be nice if you could Remove and save to in bulk

Other then that, I'm undoubtebly going to keep it installed even though there are some caveats to it that make it too cumbersome to use constantly then most people would care for.
I love the incentive of this app for how much of a no-brainer it is in terms of usecase. Thank you for making this 👏
