The commands in the qcircuit.sty file which define such things as bras, kets, inner and outer products, etc, need to be written in a way which ensures compatibility with fractions and other exotic things people may want to put inside them.

The key thing here is to understand LaTeX delimeters, as well as the use of the \left and \right commands.

The physics package is doing a really good job.
Why not using those commands from it?

Thanks for pointing that out! I'll look into removing those commands and suggesting to users that they use that package instead.

@ElieGouzien This is a good idea. In the next release, the tutorial will be updated to point users to this package. Thanks for pointing it out!
