Estimated effort: Medium effort required.

Dependencies among tasks (if any): Not dependent on other tasks we have chosen to work on.

Initial assignments for team members:

Veronica: Research implementation of emoji and meme reactions and identify the files that will need to be changed, modified, or added. Work on backend integration for storing reactions and displaying them under posts.

Milestones to indicate which sprint the issue should be completed in:

Sprint 1: Implement backend for storing emoji and meme reactions.
Sprint 2: Finalize user interface for selecting and displaying reactions.

Acceptance criteria that describes how you know this task is done:

  • Test that users are able to react to posts using emojis or memes.
  • Test tha reacting with an emoji on a random post in the general discussion forum and ensuring the reaction is displayed correctly and visible to other users.
