Reporting Case Data to the CDC

• Notifiable diseases should be reported to the CDC, but there is no legal mandate, and there is no real enforcement mechanism to force their hand.
• Most do report, but not all.

Hospital Reporting Data Flow

• Some places have data warehouses that aggregate this data, which can produce a CSV for upload
• Hospitals without resources have the greatest burden
